China Star in Austin

The reason i am giving it such a low star is due to the guy handling the check out counter. He was very rude to the point telling me that if i didnt come back he wouldn't care. That there fokes is beyond disrespectful and uncalled for. As for the other staff they were very tentive but there was not a whole lot of people there the food was ok it didnt look as if it had been out under the heat lamps for to long and it was not dried out.

Worst customer service, if I can give a zero I would. Guy I talked to on the phone was one of the rudest person. If you are looking for a nice buffet dont bother stopping here. They do not deserve your money!! If you are looking to ruin your day or trip passing by, by all means call this place.

Some of the food didnt have much flavor and was sitting out for a good while. Wasn't the best place to go!!

After a hard days work this is the best 10 bucks you can spend. Always clean and staff is always helpful. Food is fresh and hot!

Very slow service. Mediocre 'Chinese' food. Long line, slow worker processing bill payments. If you're desperate for Chinese, this place will do... otherwise better off going somewhere else.

Food is always great the waiting staff is very on top of things.

Very friendly servers and excellent service behind the counter, amazing selection. They are always ready to give me my crystal chicken when I call! Very quick service, thank you China Star!

Took my kids and grandkids here last night for supper, good food and reasonably priced.

It is a good place to go if you like fish or seafood. I will try the grill next time I eat there. Hot tea was tepid. Buffet food was not really hot. Bathroom was dirty. Not my first choice to eat in Austin.

Awesome buffet selection and the Mongolian grill is great option to have at this place.

Guy at the counter was extremely rude and disrespectful!!! Will NEVER EVER recommend anyone to dine here ever again as long as he remains employed here. Rudest person I have met since I have been alive I think. AND FOR EVERYONE TO KNOW THIS IS NOT A KID FRIENDLY ENVIRONMENT!!! DONT LET THEM FOOL YOU.

Excellent buffet, reasonable prices, relaxing atmosphere. Best chinese restaurant I have been to.

Good selection of entrees, desserts and the Mongolian grill.
